Men in Mission
Men in mission are a group of men from St. John Lutheran Church that share their time and talents as well as learn and grow in their faith. Some things they have accomplished in the past include:
- Bible study
- Spring and fall yard clean up
- Paint the church siding
- Soup-er Sunday Fundraisers
Mission Sewing
We would like to welcome and encourage new and existing members to join us on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, September through April.
In 2005, Mission Sewing volunteers completed 104 quilts!
- 47 quilts were given to World Relief
- 28 lap blankets were given to a nusing home
- 20 baby blankets were given to the Red Cross
- 2 were donated to other causes
If you can sew or tie or would enjoy putting quilts together, we would love to hear from you. Mission sewing gets together the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month to make quilts for various organization who distribute our quilts to those who are in need. You are invited to come and help anytime. LaVerne Enderby is the contact. Please call the church for contact information or refer to your church directory.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
All quilters, knitters and chrocheters are welcome. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of the Month at 6:00 p.m.
St. John Women of the ELCA
Participation is open to all women of S. John, friends and family.
Women of the ELCA are involved in many activities at St. John.
